Walking by Faith, Not by Sight: Lessons from Jesus’ Teachings

Faith means trusting God even when we do not understand everything. Jesus taught His followers to believe in God’s plan, even when it was unclear. In 2 Corinthians 5:7, it says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” This means we trust God, even when life is uncertain.

Sometimes, we want to see clear answers before we take a step forward. But faith requires us to believe before we see the outcome. Peter walked on water because he had faith in Jesus. When he doubted, he began to sink. This story shows us that keeping our eyes on Jesus helps us stay strong in our faith.

Trusting God does not mean life will be easy. It means believing that He has a good plan for us. We may face struggles, but God is always working behind the scenes. When we walk by faith, we grow closer to Him and experience His peace.

There are many examples in the Bible of people who walked by faith. Abraham trusted God when he was told to leave his home and go to an unknown land. Moses trusted God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, even when the journey seemed impossible. Their faith was rewarded because they obeyed God even without seeing the full picture.

Walking by faith also means trusting God’s timing. Sometimes, we pray for something and do not get an answer right away. But we must remember that God’s timing is perfect. He sees the whole picture, while we see only a small part. Trusting Him completely brings peace and joy.
